Transliteration is rewriting a word or text written in one language using the alphabet of another language.
Philips PSS120 (v4.1) support only the ASCII charset (English). Any song information written in another language will show as an empty box ( _^[] ). When this option is enabled, Non-english words will be transilerated into english.

Currently the supported languages are Greeks and Western European.
